There is an abundance of live music available for gig-goers in Blyth this Friday, with four bands performing at The Tavern on the corner of Beaconsfield Street.
Coming from Birmingham, the punk/garage trio Dead Sea Skulls will be on stage with their raw energy, passion & showmanship, amplified by their big riffs and memorable melodies. Ashley Sheehan from The Twang is on vocals/drums with Nick Crutchley on Guitar and James Crutchley on Bass.
Get used to the name 'Dead Sea Skulls' as you'll be hearing it mentioned a lot. What you see is definitely what you get with this raw and exciting trio. Dead Sea Skulls combine hard punk riffs and infectious melodies which ooze from their tracks such as the single, "I Wanna Buy A Rolex”. After the heavy impact made on the band’s first trip to Los Angeles, they returned in May 2015 to complete a second run of shows to very receptive audiences yet again. Dead Sea Skulls are fast becoming favourites on the UK live music scene locally, Nationally and Internationally.
Supporting them are Twister, Aztec Temples and Black Velvet...Twister entered the Surface Unsigned Festival in which they came 2nd out of 12,000 bands at the London final. They are a high energy, young and exciting four piece, pop/rock band from the North East of England - fronted by charismatic Stevie Stoker, who certainly knows how to work a crowd. Twister have a natural ability to connect with the audience and are renowned for giving an amazing show every time they perform.
With a set list of rock/pop anthems and a dedicated following, Twister are going for it and are ready for the ride of their life. “Excellent stage presence, you put on a great show. Best band I’ve seen in a long time.” (EMI Records)
Black Velvet are a cracking young local pop punk/punk rock band from Blyth. Having recently had a UK tour they are picking up nicely and ones to watch out for.
Aztec Temples are an alternative Indie-Rock band from Leicester, who formed in September 2014 and are on Tour with Dead Sea Skulls.
The first band will be taking to the stage before 7.30pm and this is going to be another great night in Blyth. You can get the remaining tickets for £3 via the SeeTickets link here:
