Welcome to the Community View section of the website. This area is dedicated to articles of interest, community information and local topics that are submitted by members of the public or guest writers. It is also the main section dedicated to the Youth Media Group Project.
Young People from the Isabella Youth Project (based at the Isabella Community Centre) attended Northumberland’s Finest Award Ceremony at Newbiggin Leisure Centre which was organised by Northumberland Youth Service. It is a prestigious event held to recognise the achievements of youth organisations and Young People throughout Northumberland who have made a difference in the Community.
The Isabella Youth Project won the Enterprise Award for taking part in the £100.00 pound Challenge With the money donated by Northumberland Youth Service the Young People came up with the idea of making Christmas Tree decorations and Christmas Cards to sell to Community Centre users and to the general public at a charity stall in Asda Blyth Superstore.
A profit of £403 was made which will be spent on activities for the Young People.
